Vita

Privacy policy

Last updated October 21, 2026

Vita is a health and wellness app with an AI companion called Leo. It is made by Bobur Toshpulatov ("we"), an independent developer. This policy explains what data Vita uses, why, where it goes and the choices you have. If you have a question, write to bobur.toshpulatovdev@gmail.com.

The short version

1. Data on your iPhone

Vita stores what you enter on your iPhone: your profile (name, birth year, sex, height, weight and goals), what you log (water, sleep, steps, mood, training, mindfulness, weight, meals and meal photos, custom trackers, habits), your chats with Leo, things Leo remembers about you, programs and settings. This data stays on your device unless you turn on cloud sync (section 3).

Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. Home Screen widgets read a small summary (such as your streak and today's water) that is kept on your device.

2. Your account

When you first open Vita, it creates an anonymous account on our server so Leo and subscriptions work without signing up. This account is a random identifier; it does not contain your name or email.

If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive an identifier from Apple and, if you allow it, an email address (which may be a private relay address from Apple). We use them only to sign you in and to restore your data on a new phone.

3. Cloud sync (only if you sign in)

If you sign in with Apple, your Vita data is backed up and synced between your devices. Each person has their own encryption key, and your data is stored encrypted on our server in Germany. Meal photos are never synced; they stay on your iPhone.

4. Leo and the AI features

To answer you, Vita sends the request to our server, which passes it to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI models:

Our server does not store the content of these requests; it keeps only a daily count of AI uses to apply limits. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use this data to train its models and deletes it after a limited period (currently up to 30 days), except where it must keep it for safety or legal reasons.

When our server can't be reached, Leo may answer using Apple's on-device AI, which runs on your iPhone and doesn't send your data anywhere. Speech recognition runs on your iPhone where supported; otherwise Apple processes it under Apple's privacy policy. Leo's voice is generated on your iPhone.

5. Apple Health (optional)

If you allow it, Vita reads your steps, sleep and weight from Apple Health and writes the water and weight you log to Apple Health. You can change this at any time in the Settings app under Health > Data Access & Devices.

Data from Apple Health is used only to coach you within Vita. It may be part of the summary sent to Anthropic when you talk to Leo (section 4). We never use Apple Health data for advertising, never sell it and never share it with data brokers.

6. Subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your card or payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active; it receives your anonymous account identifier and your purchase information from Apple.

7. Usage days

To learn whether Vita helps people build lasting habits, the app tells our server which days you use it, linked to your anonymous account: the date, and whether that day you opened the app, logged something, finished setup or saw the subscription screen. It never includes what you logged, your health data or your messages. We use it only to count how many people come back after a day, a week and a month, and to improve Vita. We use our own server for this, not an analytics company.

8. Technical data

Our server keeps short-lived technical logs to keep Vita secure and working: for example the time of a request, error messages, the amount of AI used, and network addresses when something goes wrong. We use these only for security, abuse prevention and fixing problems.

9. What we don't do

10. Who we share data with

ProviderWhyWhere
AnthropicAI replies, meal estimates, reviews, programsUnited States
HostingerHosts our serverGermany
RevenueCatSubscription statusUnited States
AppleSign in, payments, on-device featuresWorldwide

These providers process data only to provide their service to us. When data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

11. How long we keep data

12. Your choices and rights

If you live in the EU, the UK or a similar jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We use your data to provide the service you asked for, usage days on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving Vita (you can object by writing to us), and your health data on the basis of your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

13. Security

Data travels between the app and our server over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Cloud data is encrypted at rest with a separate key for each person. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects you.

14. Children

Vita is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

15. Health disclaimer

Vita and Leo offer general wellness guidance. They are not a medical device and don't diagnose or treat any condition. Talk to a qualified professional about medical concerns, and in an emergency call your local emergency number.

16. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app before they take effect.
